Mbumba says Namibia stands with the people of California during this difficult hour.

The president says he is confident that the American people will be able to contain the ravaging fires and rebuild their lives from the destruction of over 5000 structures.

Mbumba says this highlights the importance of collective resolve to accelerate the fight against climate change, and Namibia stands ready to work with the US government and other nations to deal with the scourge of climate change.
