The High Commission of Malaysia in Namibia has donated over N$800,000 to the Windhoek Islamic Centre.

The funds will be allocated towards the centre's operational budget for 2025 and 2026.

The soup kitchen provides residents with meals every Friday, after prayer.

Secretary General at the Windhoek Islamic Centre, Armas Shikongo, said that the donation will come in handy and will sustain them over the next two years.

He expressed his gratitude to the High Commission of Malaysia for the donation.
