The Cunene Province delegation, along with their governor, Gerdina Didalelwa, visited small-scale farms with the |Khomas Regional Council as part of their week-long programme.

After the visit, the two regions are expected to sign a twinning agreement that will enable them to cooperate in various sectors.

On Wednesday the group headed to the Windhoek Rural Constituency led by |Khomas Governor Laura McLeod-Katjirua to observe the water and sanitation facilities installed by the |Khomas Regional Council at the farms.

The council has drilled seven boreholes in the area with solar panels installed as well as toilets to cater to the needs of those settled at the farms.

The group also had the opportunity to engage with some of the community members who benefit from these initiatives.

The Cunene Governor, along with her delegation, continues with the programme, visiting various project sites and facilities in the |Khomas Region.
