The police at Rundu are investigating a case in which a 20-year-old man died during the Namibian Defence Force (NDF) recruitment selection test.

The incident occurred on Wednesday, 05 February 2025, at about 12:00.

It's alleged that the deceased was on the 2.5-kilometre race when the incident happened near or between the youth centre and Rundu Vocational Training Centre in Kehemu.

The deceased was rushed to the Rundu State Hospital by the NDF medical team, where he was declared dead.

He was identified as Kambinda Andreas Kaurembi.

Next of kin have been informed.

The body of the deceased was taken to Rundu State Hospital mortuary pending further police investigations and postmortem to determine the cause of death.
