Community members of Keetmanshoop, as well as from the Berseba and Vaalgras villages, raised concern over inadequate service delivery during the Office of the National Council Chairperson's outreach visit to the ||Kharas Region.

Led by National Council Chairperson Lukas Muha, the outreach visit aimed to educate community members on the legislative role in governance and democracy.

Despite welcoming the engagement with Muha and his senior staffers, community members expressed their frustrations, among others, over the lack of electricity, water, and sanitation and the misappropriation of government funds.

The National Council Chairperson acknowledged the grievances and assured residents that their concerns would be recorded in his report, which will be presented to relevant authorities.

Muha, however, was confident that the long-standing Regional and Constituency Fund Bill, set for discussion in the National Assembly, will address inadequate service delivery once enacted.

The National Council delegation advocated participatory democracy in shaping the country's laws and policies.
