Namibian boxer Charles Shinima fell short in his bid for the WBC Welterweight title last night, losing to South Africa's Brandon Thysse by majority decision at Emperors Palace in Johannesburg.

After a grueling 10-round contest, Shinima was edged out on the judges' scorecards, a result he strongly disputes.

Reflecting on the fight, he expressed disappointment with the decision.

His promoter, Imms Moses, echoed his frustration, calling the outcome unfair.

A loss or even a draw can be a major setback in a boxer's career.

With AC Promotions contesting the judges' ruling, they have decided to appeal to the WBC, requesting a review of the fight footage in hopes of securing a rematch.
