
NAMDIA has dismissed claims that it intends to offer a reward to anyone who might have information leading to the successful recovery of the missing diamonds.
Diamonds worth over N$200 million remain missing following the violent robbery that rocked NAMDIA on January 18.
Responding to nbc News, NAMDIA’s spokesperson Beverly Coussement said, “No official, internal, or external communication has been made regarding the matter referenced.”
She stated that NAMDIA is not in a position to comment on speculation, adding that should there be any developments or official decisions made, the company will communicate such information through formal and transparent channels.
NBC reached out to NAMDIA to confirm news that the company is considering a reward.
On Wednesday, the company stated that there are no new developments to share with the public, but diamonds worth over N$40 million have been recovered.
