Social justice activist Michael Amushelelo has expressed frustration over the lack of financial support from the public, stating that he may be forced to reconsider his activism.

In a statement on his social media, Amushelelo pointed to the personal sacrifices he has made in his fight for social justice, particularly the legal battles he faces due to issues he raises on behalf of others.

He revealed that he has been sued in his personal capacity and now bears the financial burden of legal fees.

"If Namibians continue to fail to support me when all I am doing is being your voice, at some point I will seriously have to reconsider helping people who don’t even want to assist me with the bare minimum," he said.

Amushelelo criticised his followers for their inaction despite his large online audience and urged them to take financial action rather than offering only words of encouragement.

He provided the banking details of his legal representatives, Kadhila Amoomo Legal Practitioners, and stated that if the required funds were not raised by the end of the day, he would rethink his involvement in social justice activism.
