The family of the six people who died in a fire incident at Usakos' Hakaseb location has identified the deceased as 86-year-old Elizabeth !Naruses and her 17-year-old granddaughter, Finney !Naruses.

The other victims are Rachel Boer and Emie Gabriel, both 3 years old, and Raunisia Boer and Ibraha Gabriel, both 6 years old.

The younger children were the great-grandchildren of Elizabeth !Naruses.

Meanwhile, the family has begun cleaning the crime scene after it was released by the police.

They removed the bed and mattress on which the six family members perished in the early hours of Saturday.

Blood was visible on the blankets and throughout the room, a scene the family described as horrific.
