
Deputy Prime Minister Natangwe Ithete visited flood victims at the Ehenye Resettlement Centre in Oshakati, Oshana Region, as part of his assessment of flood conditions in the north, a task assigned by Head of State Netumbo Nandi-Ndaitwah.
Ithete expressed satisfaction with the provision of basic necessities for the flood victims at the centre.
Currently, there are 682 individuals relocated to the centre, while 17 are accommodated at the Onawa reception area.
As of this morning, 22 families at the Ehenye Resettlement Centre were without tents. However, the Deputy Prime Minister coordinated the delivery of tents from the Oshikoto region through the governor's office to assist those in need.
As of today, all flood victims at both centres have been provided with tents, food, water, electricity, and sanitation facilities. Additionally, a mobile clinic will be established at the Ehenye Resettlement Centre on Monday.
