A full-scale security operation is set to be launched in Okahandja following the murders of two minors and a 15-year-old girl in the town.

Minister of Home Affairs, Immigration, Safety, and Security Lucia Iipumbu informed nbc News that members of the Namibian Police Force and the Namibian Correctional Service will be deployed to patrol the area, focusing on clearing bushes, pathways, and riverbeds that could pose safety risks.

The minister further said that consultations are ongoing to secure the involvement of the Namibian Defense Force (NDF) to strengthen the security presence in the town.
