Students from the University of Namibia (UNAM) held a solidarity walk in response to the tragic events that recently occurred in the town of Okahandja.

The students walked all the way from the UNAM campus, where they headed to Hendrick Witbooi Drive and then to Emona Road before proceeding back to the campus.

This was to show their support for the Okahandja community and take a stance against violence and murder of the young and vulnerable citizens of the country.

SRC Vice president Lesley Shetukana said the entire university is deeply saddened by the tragic events that have occurred.

He said they will make their voices heard until justice is served.

Students vow to persist in raising their voices until the perpetrators of these horrific killings face justice.
