President Netumbo Nandi-Ndaitwah's visit to Angola is expected to strengthen bilateral ties and expedite progress on strategic areas of cooperation.

Particular focus is expected to be placed in the sectors of agriculture, trade and oil and gas during Nandi-Ndaitwah's first visit since assuming the Presidency.

Dr. Nandi-Ndaitwah and the delegation left for Luanda this afternoon.

According to a statement from the Presidency, the working visit marks the first official engagement between President Nandi-Ndaitwah and President João Lourenço of Angola since the Namibian leader assumed office on the 21st of March 2025.

The visit underscores the long-standing bonds of friendship, solidarity, and cooperation that exist between Namibia and Angola, rooted in shared history, regional unity, and mutual socio-economic interests.

The Presidency reiterated that, based on these longstanding bonds, the visit presents an opportunity for the two countries to further deepen the strong bilateral and trade relations.
