President Netumbo Nandi-Ndaitwah has embarked on working visits to Botswana and Zambia to strengthen bilateral relations.

President Netumbo Nandi-Ndaitwah departs for Botswana

In Botswana, she will meet President Duma Boko to discuss economic cooperation, infrastructure projects, trade facilitation, and energy collaboration. The two countries maintain strong diplomatic ties supported by historical and socio-economic connections.

In Zambia, President Nandi Ndaitwah will hold talks with President Hakainde Hichilema and participate in a street renaming ceremony honouring Namibian leaders, Founding President Sam Nujoma and Dr. Hage Geingob.

Namibia and Zambia share a deep-rooted partnership based on their liberation struggle history and collaborate across multiple sectors, including trade, agriculture, energy, and transport. Key initiatives include a dry port at Walvis Bay and a One-Stop Border Post at Katima Mulilo to boost regional trade.

President Nandi-Ndaitwah is expected to return home tomorrow.
