The Alba Chipamba Training Centre hosted a graduation ceremony in Rundu on Friday.
Graduates were a combination of the three training centres, namely Walvis Bay, Oshikango and Rundu main centre.
Speaking during the fourth graduation ceremony was the Governor of the Kavango East Region, Julius Hambyuka, who encouraged the graduates to uphold the ethical code of nursing and to act with integrity, compassion, and excellence.
"Take a vow to put the needs of your patients above everything else, to provide them with the highest quality of care and to advocate for their rights and well-being, as well as to work collaboratively with your colleagues, to respect your differences and to foster an environment of trust and teamwork."
The Board Chairperson of Alba Chipamba Training Centre, Erven Katewa, applauded the graduates for their hard work and dedication.
"I would like to offer my sincere congratulations; your hard work and dedication have paid off, and you should feel immensely proud of your accomplishments."
Also speaking on behalf of the graduates was Elizabeth Newaya from the Oshikango Training Centre.
"Allow me to show our heartfelt gratitude to our families and friends who endured hardship to pay for our school fees, rent, food and other needs to enable us to continue and complete our training. You have shown heroic courage, love and support. Thank you a million times for being our biggest support. Your love kept us going. Equally, my speech will be incomplete if I do not recognise and appreciate the Ministry of Health and Social Services for allowing us to do our clinical work in their health facilities."
