A coffee table pictorial publication celebrating and honouring the life and legacy of Namibia's Founding President, Sam Nujoma, was launched in Windhoek.

This pictorial serves as a visual reflection on 95 years of Dr. Nujoma's life, featuring a curated collection of photographs that document key moments of his life, from his early involvement in the liberation movement, through decades of exile and international diplomacy, to his historic inauguration as Namibia's first president in 1990.

Not only does it honour his personal and political journey, but it also seeks to inspire Namibians by highlighting his enduring legacy of leadership, resilience and unwavering dedication to the nation's freedom and unity.

Following his death this year, some also find solace in the publication and guidance of Dr. Nujoma's favourite quote: "People united, striving to achieve a common good for all the members of the society, will always emerge victorious."

Speakers and organisers at the launch described the publication as a national heritage project aimed at preserving historical memories and fostering a deeper understanding of Namibia's founding ideals among generations.

The tribute, created in collaboration with the Sam Nujoma Foundation, New Era Publication Corporation and Dr. Martha Namundjebo-Tilahun, offers a compelling visual narrative of Namibia and vividly captures the pivotal role Dr. Nujoma played in shaping the country's identity pre- and post-independence.

Through this pictorial, Namibians are further reminded of the importance of unity, perseverance and collective effort in building a prosperous nation, continuing the work that Dr Nujoma so passionately championed.

Proceeds from the publication will, among other purposes, be directed to the Sam Nujoma Foundation to support and complete ongoing projects initiated by Dr. Sam Nujoma.
