The Namibian Broadcasting Corporation employee Innocentia Uatjike was buried today at Omaruru.

Uatjike, who died last week in Windhoek, held the position of cleaner at the nbc TV headquarters.

Mourners, including fellow employees, gathered at the Omaruru to bid their farewell.

The 30-year-old Uatjike is remembered by relatives, church leaders and nbc staff members as respectful and hard-working.

Representing the national broadcaster's director general, Stanley Similo, was the acting head of training, Gerson Kamatuka.

Uatjike leaves behind two children, aged 10 and seven, and both her parents.
