Part of the subdivision of Otjozondjupa Education, Innovation, Youth, Sports, Arts and Culture Directorate will start operating from the Otjozondjupa Regional Council Office Park.
This follows the newly renovated building being known as the 'brown building.'
The Otjozondjupa Education, Directorate has been experiencing a shortage of office space, which resulted in some staff members sharing workspace.
However, the Financial Management Division, Human Resources, General Services, the Office of the Regional Education Director, and Building and Maintenance will now be operating from the 'Brown building' at the Regional Council Office Park.
Offices not mentioned will remain at the usual location.
Otjozondjupa Governor Julius ||Khamuseb says government offices located together will foster a strong relationship among them.
"This joining of offices is deliberately a progressive move, creating collaborative workspaces where teams from the Directorate of Education and Regional Council and the office of the governor should interact more closely, share expertise, harmonise workflows, and foster a greater culture of government cooperation and mutual learning."
Otjozondjupa Education Director Gerhard Ndafenongo says now that the working environment is conducive, staff members must perform optimally.
Ndafenongo urged the Otjozondjupa Directorate staff not to sit on documents, as it frustrates teachers and principals, and the children suffer the consequences in the end.
The Education Ministry spent N$1.5 million towards the renovation of the building for the Otjozondjupa Education Directorate.
