The National Petroleum Corporation of Namibia (NAMCOR) has reiterated that none of the individuals arrested today are currently employed by the company.

In an official statement, NAMCOR clarified that it cannot comment on ongoing legal proceedings being handled by law enforcement authorities. However, it assured stakeholders that its operations and business integrity remain unaffected.

NAMCOR emphasised its commitment to rebuilding institutional resilience and working towards a more stable, accountable, and profitable future.

Earlier today, Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC) Director General Paulus Noa informed NBC News that four NAMCOR senior officials, including former Managing Director Imms Mulunga, were arrested.

The arrests followed an extensive investigation into corruption at the company, and further arrests are expected in the coming days.
