President Dr. Nandi Ndaitwah said her administration is committed to investing in national sport development.
The Head of State reflected on her administration's achievements during her first three months in office.
As part of her progress report, the president revealed that plans are underway to provide funding for various sports leagues across the country, beginning at the end of July 2025.
She also announced that Namibia is working on constructing Category 3 CAF-compliant stadiums to meet international standards and host larger continental events.
Under her leadership, Namibia recently hosted the Region 5 Youth Games, a major milestone that temporarily created more than 900 job opportunities.
To prepare for the games, several stadiums and sports facilities across the country were successfully renovated, a move the president said reflects her administration's commitment to empowering the youth and revitalising sport in Namibia.
