Namibia Water Corporation (NamWater) is currently installing and commissioning a new power line at Kuiseb to minimise disruptions and ensure reliable water supply systems in the Erongo Region.

The critical infrastructure upgrade is part of ongoing efforts to enhance the reliable and efficient provision of water.

Due to the nature of the electrical work, NamWater warns in a statement that there may be a temporary reduction in water volume delivered to Walvis Bay during the commissioning period, starting today.

NamWater, however, assures that they will implement the necessary technical measures to minimise disruptions and ensure that the water supply resumes normal levels as quickly as possible.

Temporary water restrictions may be applied to prioritise critical needs and maintain an equitable supply, while the public is encouraged to use water sparingly.
