Venezuela's Ambassador to Namibia, Dr. Magalay Henriquez, has denounced recent measures taken by the United States government against President Nicolás Maduro Moros.
Dr. Henriquez describes the measures as unprecedented political aggression and a deliberate attempt to destabilise the political and economic climate of Venezuela.
She has condemned Washington's decision to offer a US$50 million reward for information leading to the capture of the Venezuelan president, amid false accusations by US Special Prosecutor Pam Bondi, who links him to international drug trafficking groups.
The Venezuelan diplomat says these accusations have been made without any evidence and are a response to political interests that ignore international law.
Supporting this position, Venezuelan Foreign Minister Yván Gil described the reward as "the most ridiculous smokescreen ever seen."
The ambassador also says that countries such as China, Russia, Iran, Turkey, Cuba, Nicaragua, and Honduras expressed their support for Venezuela and condemned the unilateral coercive measures imposed by the United States.
