The African Electrotechnical Standardisation Commission (AFSEC), in collaboration with partners, is hosting a three-day technical training on electromagnetic compatibility in Windhoek.

The training aims to enhance Namibia's adherence to international electromagnetic standards.

The training will focus on electromagnetic compatibility in medical devices, enhancing safety and performance through proper electromagnetic compliance and regulatory standards.

It will also deliberate on power quality, ensuring the reliability of power systems by managing electromagnetic disturbances through electromagnetic field protection and by promoting public safety through international best practices.

Namibian Standards Institution (NSI) Chief Executive Officer Eino Mvula urged the participants to grab the opportunity to upskill with both hands.

"I would like to encourage you, colleagues, to make use of this opportunity, bring your experience from where you're coming from, share with us, share with everybody, engage, and exchange, because this is an opportunity that you will not see often."
