President Netumbo Nandi-Ndaitwah says her decision to assume responsibility for the Ministry of Industries, Mines and Energy is aimed at ensuring stability, a renewed focus, and a stronger sense of purpose.
However, she emphasised that the success of the Ministry does not depend on a single individual.
Nandi-Ndaitwah addressed the Ministry’s staff on Monday in her capacity as Minister of Industries, Mines and Energy.
She acknowledged that it is natural for staff members to feel uncertain during periods of change, but assured them that there is no reason for fear or concern.
The President encouraged employees to remain motivated and to continue serving with pride and passion.
“You are all leaders in your own right. Leadership is not about position; it is about attitude, responsibility, and consistency,’’ she said.
Nandi-Ndaitwah reaffirmed her commitment to maintaining an open-door policy, welcoming ideas, creativity, and honest input from the Ministry’s staff.
“As we move forward, let us remember that it cannot be business as usual. Let us give our best, go the extra mile, and serve with empathy and integrity. Let our actions speak for us,” the President concluded.
