The late Archbishop Julius Hoveka of Father Tjijombo St John's Faith Mission was buried in Otjombinde, in the Omaheke Region, on Sunday.

The recently ordained Archbishop died last week in Windhoek at the age of 82.

Hundreds of mourners, including faith leaders and church congregants, gathered to bid farewell.

Most of the mourners were dressed in the church colours of blue and white.

Hoveka was ordained in September after the position became vacant following the death of Bishop Petrus Tjijombo in 2023.

The late Archbishop Hoveka joined the faith mission church in his early years and had vast experience of the church.

He is survived by his widow, Penina Hoveka, and 16 children.
