Oshikoto Governor Sacky Kathindi has urged residents to participate actively in the national polio vaccination campaign launched by the Ministry of Health and Social Services.
The drive demonstrates Namibia's readiness to prevent polio's return and runs from 26 to 29 January and 24 to 27 February nationwide, targeting children aged zero to ten.
While administering the first dose of the vaccine to a baby girl named Lineekela at Omuthiya Clinic, Governor Kathindi stressed the importance of taking the campaign seriously. He called on citizens to ensure all children under 10 receive their free, safe, and effective vaccine.
