The Presidency has responded to claims made by Independent Patriots for Change (IPC) leader Dr Panduleni Itula.

In a media statement, the presidency said President Netumbo Nandi-Ndaitwah and her children hold no ownership, beneficial interest, or stake in the oil and gas industry.

Dr Itula, in a statement, alleged purported business interests connected to the oil and gas industry.

The presidency has, however, called on Dr Itula to provide credible and verifiable evidence, supported by a clear documentary paper trail, to substantiate the claims advanced.

The presidency said it remains committed to transparency, accountability and responsible public discourse in matters of national importance.
