Namibian High Commissioner to Zambia Goms Menette says there are over 500 Namibian students studying at various tertiary institutions in Zambia, but the commission has no record of them.

It is against this background that Menette will be holding a meeting with them this Saturday to explain the role of the mission for every Namibian domiciled in Zambia.

Menette says some of the students, especially those at private tertiary institutions, are studying without legal documentation.

He stated that the commission mostly interacts with a few that are caught breaking the law.

The High Commissioner also said only some of the Namibians there have knowledge about the roles of his office.

Menette advised guardians to ensure that their children's presence in Zambia is known by the High Commission.

The "Meet the Namibian Students" event will take place at the Namibian High Commission situated on Mutende Road, Woodlands, in Lusaka.
