The staff at Katutura Intermediate Hospital have joined the rest of the world in celebrating World Social Work Day, observed annually in March.

The day, established in 1983 by the International Federation of Social Workers, celebrates the significant role social workers play in supporting individuals, families, and communities. 

It also aims to highlight the impact of social work within society, promoting human rights and social justice, while raising awareness about the profession and the social challenges faced by communities.

The day provides a platform for social workers to engage patients and visitors about the role they play in society, what they do, and explore ways to support people in need.
