A group of volunteer cleaners from various government medical facilities in the Zambezi Region have raised concerns over alleged nepotism and lack of recognition.

They are now calling on the Ministry of Health and Social Services to urgently intervene.

Volunteers claim that the recruitment processes for institutional positions at the regional office are unfair.

They say this practice has negatively affected morale among long-serving volunteers who had hoped to be considered for employment opportunities.

They called on the Minister of Health and Social Services to provide guidance on the way forward.

The group of 94 expressed their concerns about the limited job opportunities and employment chances for many of them.

Zambezi Health Director Woita Kampumburu said the ministry would attend to the matter.
