The Association of Diplomatic Spouses held its annual international festival, bringing together representatives from over 60 countries in a vibrant celebration of unity, heritage, and global community.
The event featured food, art, and cultural performances, showcasing international cuisine and handmade crafts. A colourful flag parade by students highlighted the festival’s themes of unity and diversity. Music and dance performances included contributions from guest artists, students, and local talent.
At the opening, Deputy Executive Director in the Ministry of Education, Innovation, Youth, Sports, Arts and Culture, Edda Bohn, emphasised the value of cultural exchange in education.
Matthias Geisler, President of the Association of Diplomatic Spouses, highlighted the festival’s role in supporting vulnerable Namibian communities.
The festival remains one of Windhoek International School’s flagship events, reinforcing its position as a hub for cultural connection in Namibia’s capital.
