The ||Kharas Regional Council has expressed concern over the circulation of a fake and misleading advertisement relating to positions at the regional health directorate.
The council, in a media statement, said certain individuals have re-created and circulated the original advertisement while deliberately omitting the official application instructions.
It added the fake advertisement, directing applicants to submit applications via email, clarifying that government applications are not accepted via email.
Council further highlighted that only prescribed government application forms, with the relevant attachments as stipulated in the official advertisement, will be accepted.
It reminded the public that government vacancy advertisements are only valid and recognised as official when issued on the directorate's letterhead.
The council urged public members to refrain from circulating unofficial or altered advertisements, recreating advertisements without authorisation, and misleading job seekers by altering application requirements.
This, the council added, may create confusion, undermine government recruitment processes, and disadvantage applicants who unknowingly follow incorrect instructions.
