Driven by her passion for helping children, Windhoek resident Tilla Isaacs has dedicated herself to ensuring that children in need receive nutritious meals.

Through the initiative, children between the ages of 5 and 14 in Windhoek and Okahandja are fed twice a week, bringing hope and relief to many families facing difficult economic circumstances.

"I see how the kids are getting on; they're struggling, the mothers and things. That's why I'm starting to make the skin, the last feeding of the skin. And I'm very happy that I can do it. I do it two times a week. And in winter I give some blankets and, all the time, some groceries and firsts. And so, so I've got some sponsors and not many, but one of the people I really know helps me every time."

Isaac highlighted that the initiative was established to ensure that no child goes to bed hungry despite the limited resources available to her.

To sustain and expand the programme, Isaacs is pleading with individuals, businesses and organisations to come on board.

Currently the initiative is supported by various donors whose contributions help to provide food and other necessities for the children.

However, the growing demand for assistance means that more support is needed to keep the programme running and to extend its reach to more vulnerable children in the community.
Tilla reaffirms her commitment to continue assisting vulnerable communities.
