The Kavango East Region is preparing to welcome hundreds of athletes and officials as the Public Enterprise Forum Games take place in Rundu from 2 to 4 July.

A total of 80 public entities from across Namibia will compete in eight sporting codes during the three-day event.

The games will bring together employees from various public enterprises to promote teamwork, wellness, and cooperation while strengthening relationships among institutions.

Among the sporting disciplines on offer, Tug of War is expected to attract significant participation and spectator interest.

Chairperson of the Communications and Entertainment Committee of the Public Enterprise Forum, Victoria Raimond, says preparations are progressing well ahead of the event.

She said the games provide a platform for networking, employee engagement, and the promotion of healthy lifestyles within the public sector.

The Public Enterprise Forum Games have grown into one of the country's largest corporate sporting events, with this year's edition expected to feature competition across all sporting codes.
