National parks recorded an increase in visitation from 943,408 in 2024 to 994,780 in 2025.  Etosha National Park remains the most visited national park. 

The Tourist Arrivals Statistical Report recorded 178,050 local visitors to national parks in 2025.

This is an increase of 14,826 from the 163,224 recorded in 2024. 

International visitors also recorded a notable increase from 659,207 in 2024 to 720,110 in 2025 – an increase of 60,903 visitors. 

However, visitors from the SADC region decreased from 120,977 in 2024 to 96,620 in 2025. 
The Etosha National Park recorded the highest number of visitors at 387 thousand 663.

Namib-Naukluft National Park came in second place with 236,319 visitors, followed by Dorob National Park with 222,272 visitors.

Tsau //Khaeb National Park, known as Sperrgebiet, and Mangetti National Park recorded the lowest number of visitors, 996 and 240 visitors, respectively. 

In terms of vehicles, Etosha registered 103,756 vehicles, followed by Namib-Naukluft, which registered 63,894 vehicles, and Dorob, 52,135 vehicles. 

The report noted that these are similar trends compared to 2024, indicating that the pattern of visitation in Namibia's major national parks has continued to be stable.
The visitors' data were obtained from 20 national parks and wildlife reserves.
