National parks recorded an increase in visitation from 943,408 in 2024 to 994,780 in 2025.  Etosha National Park remains the most visited national park. 

Botswana authorities have raised concern over a growing trend in which more Batswana are opting to travel to Namibia for tourism instead of visiting domestic destinations.

This is despite the fact that the neighbouring country is best known for its legendary Okavango Delta and plentiful wildlife.

During the just-concluded December season, the Namibia Wildlife Resorts (NWR) has seen a bumper holiday season, with the tourism parastatal reporting a massive influx of local tourists.
