Ohangwena Governor Kadiva Hamutumwa has officially launched the Ohangwena Regional Investment Map and Action Plan.

The plan aims to turn the region's potential into tangible investment, job creation and business opportunities across various sectors.

The plan was launched at the Helao Nafidi Expo.

Speaking at the launch, the Minister in the Presidency, Charles Mubita, said the plan is a bold declaration of intent and a reaffirmation of shared commitment towards national progress.

Dr Mubita said the plan sends a message to both local and international investors that the region is ready for business, which will in turn accelerate the national development agendas.

"No region develops by accident. Prosperity is planned, built and defended through deliberate choices, sound partnerships and the courage to invest in tomorrow. The trajectory from vision to reality demands a relentless focus on execution, guided by a well-defined action plan."

Hamutumwa stated that the investment map provides a clear framework for identifying, promoting and facilitating investment opportunities across all economic sectors.

She emphasised that the region is seeking productive, sustainable and inclusive investment that creates employment, develops skills, supports local enterprises and retains value within the region.

"Our future is not something that will happen to us; it is something that we must build together. Let us therefore use this investment map as a roadmap towards a more productive, diversified and inclusive regional economy. Let us attract investment, let us build enterprises, let us create jobs, let us add value to what we produce and let us ensure that the economic opportunities of Ohangwena translate into shared prosperity for our people and future generations."
