Kunene Governor's Office distributes stationery parcels to orphaned learners

The Office of the Kunene Regional Governor has commenced the distribution of more than 300 stationery parcels to learners who have lost their parents, aimed at easing the hardships faced by vulnerable children in accessing education.

The initiative kicked off at Alpha Combined and Opuwo Primary Schools.

Newly elected Mayor of Grootfontein, Moritz Gaingob, has revealed that the appointment of a new Chief Executive Officer for the town will happen before May 2026.

The position has been vacant since the departure of former CEO Kisco Sinvula in 2023.
