Early childhood education at Otuzemba Primary School is benefiting from improved infrastructure, learning resources and nutrition support.

Otuzemba Primary School has two dedicated pre-primary classrooms, forming part of the region's modern school infrastructure.

The Deputy Executive Director in the Ministry of Education, Edda Bohn, highlighted the school's development through government and partners.

"The school was built through the African Development Bank and other development partners."

A joint EU, government and UNICEF delegation underscored the importance of strengthening early childhood education.

The pre-primary section has received tablets, stationery, toys and teaching aids, which the teacher says have made teaching easier.

"Those resources really make teaching easy because I use them in so many, so many ways," expressed teacher Uaheuehi Kakuva.

The school has also established a garden to support learners' nutrition, explained Principal Elizabeth Sakaria.

"There were carrots last month; they eat the carrots with soft porridge."

With the right support, these young learners are gaining more than education; they are being given a stronger foundation to dream, learn and build a brighter future.
