President Hage Geingob and delegation arrived in New York, USA for the 77th session of the UN General Assembly.
The high-level debates will commence on Tuesday under the theme, “A watershed moment: transformative solutions to interlocking challenges".
This year's gathering is further expected to take into consideration debates around current geo-political conflicts, transition to clean energy, transforming of education and health-care systems for lasting solutions to common issues facing the world.
President Geingob is expected to deliver Namibia's statement on Thursday at the UN Headquarters.
A number of high-level side events have also been confirmed for the Namibian delegation, including the Education and Investment summits.
