The Ministry of Agriculture, in collaboration with the Agricultural Bank of Namibia, held a two-day workshop on poultry farming at Omitivine village in the Aminuis constituency.

The seminar aimed at capacitating upcoming poultry farmers on health-related matters, feeding and marketing of chickens, amongst other challenges faced by poultry farmers.

Speaking at the seminar, the ministry's Chief Agricultural Technician, Melba Tjozongoro, said the significance of the agricultural sector shows that it is important to share relevant and timely information amongst farmers.

Tjozongoro added that information-sharing events should not be missed by farmers as they also get a chance to learn from fellow farmers in the industry.

The day was concluded with practical sessions on the handling of chicken projects.
