Over 300 students received their certificates at the Zambezi Vocational Training Centre graduation ceremony.
Speaking at the ceremony on behalf of the Minister of Higher Education, Training and Innovation, Zambezi Governor Alufea Sampofu encouraged more people to consider vocational training and to stop looking at it as an inferior choice.
Graduates have been reminded to take advantage of that which could help them survive the high unemployment rate. "This is my challenge to you. You are equipped with work-ready skills. Those of you who will not be able to land employment, which has become even more challenging in the current economic climate, must strive and aspire towards self-employment."
The students graduated in various fields of studies, including agriculture, crop production, farm machinery, bricklaying and plastering, clothing production, joinery and cabinet making, hospitality and tourism, plumbing and pipe fitting, office administration, welding and metal fabrication.
