The Namibia Revolutionary Transport Union (NARETU) wants to empower its members with skills in problem-solving.

The union held a two-day workshop in Windhoek to train shop stewards representing workers in the transport and logistics sector, especially drivers.

The training also aims at equipping shopstewards in the transport and logistics sector with the necessary skills in dispute resolution and ensuring that their issues are handled effectively.

Labour Consultant, Herbert Jauch, is the workshop's facilitator.

In his speech, Jauch discussed various topics, including labour relations, labour practices, working conditions, and unfair labour practices.

The training workshop also discussed workers' rights, protection, and collective bargaining, amongst others.

About 26 union representatives attended the workshop.
