The Namibia Sports Commission and its counterpart in Botswana are satisfied with what they have accomplished in the first year of their ongoing memorandum of understanding.

The Namibia Sports Commission and the Botswana National Sports Commission signed a cooperation agreement in November last year, with the focus on strengthening and sustaining collaboration in the field of sports administration, as well as exchange programmes.

As per the agreement, the management committee must have a meeting after every year, to reflect and make amendments if need be.

Earlier this month, such a meeting took place in Gaborone, the capital city of Botswana, and the committee was reportedly satisfied with the progress so far.

Apart from their achievements, the committee also pointed out some programmes that did not take off just yet.
Among others, the exchange programmes of coaches were behind in their execution.

According to Mwiya, the Committee is now drafting a plan for next year's programmes.
The MoU between the two neighbouring countries is expected to come to an end after four years.
