The International University of Management has rebranded its Alumni Association.

The Association of Former Students aims to, among other things, source scholarships for its members and start-up capital for current students who want to start a business.

The rebranding of the Association is a moment to reflect on the university's journey and accomplishments while striving to change the lives of those in need.

More than 30,000 students have graduated from IUM since its inception in 1994.

Currently, the university has about 13,000 students.

Its founder, Dr David Namwandi, says the university will continue to change, mould, and transform the lives of individuals into leaders and job creators.

"No graduates of IUM should be unemployed. We have decided to have what we call 'seed capital' to help products from IUM, UNAM, NUST, and other accredited institutions who will develop or have a project to be assisted to have their business. We have already started."

Businessman Erastus Shapumba, who received an Honorary Doctorate in Business Administration and Commerce from IUM in 2016, wants the university to extend its services to the Omusati Region.

Should that come to fruition, he pledged to contribute N$2 million towards the construction of the campus.

The event was held under the theme "Together again, IUM for life."
