Delegates to the upcoming SWAPO party congress have urged those emerging victorious to unite members and ensure development programmes continue uninterrupted in rural areas.
The call was made at Opuwo in the Kunene Region during the Swapo Party internal campaign and engagement of those vying for the top three positions.
The engagement sessions, which were held throughout the country, have been peaceful thus far.
During the behind-closed-door sessions, candidates presented their profiles, visions, missions, and promises and gave reasons why they should be voted for at the congress.
All Swapo contestants vying for Vice President, Secretary General, and Deputy Secretary General were at Wednesday's engagement.
Some delegates and candidates to the Central Committee who spoke to the nbc News team said they wanted unity after the congress.
