Acting Executive Director in the Office of the Prime Minister, Erastus Amutenya, says no promises of access to fishing rights, jobs, or grants for war veterans were pledged to the "Children of the Liberation Struggle".

He says, the Office of the Prime Minister stated its position in writing, in a letter to the group in response to their petition.

Amutenya also says providing jobs to a specific group has been ruled discriminatory in law, according to Namibia's justice system.
