The Omaruru Constituency Youth Forum held a basic first aid workshop to reduce the number of fatalities in various types of incidents such as house fires, motor vehicle accidents, and domestic violence in the community.

These issues have become an increasing concern in communities as a large number of people are being robbed of their precious lives due to the untimely response by the emergency response services as they take time to get to the site.

The main focus of the workshop is to equip their youth with the necessary skills, as well as to nurture them into polished and useful citizens in society and, most importantly, to be able to know what to do in cases of emergencies.

Nghoshi Serron, the coordinator of the Erongo Regional Youth Forum, is overjoyed with the youth turnout in Omaruru because it demonstrates how eager the youth are to attend such training.
