It's all systems go for the much anticipated 7th Swapo Party Elective Congress.
The party's Secretary for Information and Mobilisation Hilma Nikanor said they are ready and nothing can hamper the congress moving forward.
Nikanor says all logistics are in place and delegates from all 14 regions are expected to arrive on Thursday to begin the process of registration and accreditation.
"The party is very much ready the preparations have been ongoing we are at a stage where we can say, come tomorrow, a very successful SWAPO party congress will take place."
The voting and counting will take place within the congress venue.
Legal practitioner Joshua Kaumbi will preside over the Swapo Party Congress elections.
This was confirmed by the party's Secretary for Information and Mobilisation Hilma Nikanor.
Kaumbi replaces prominent lawyer Sisa Namandje.
The congress Nikanor says will be discussing reviews and reports from the Central Committee which is the organ responsible for the implementation of the party's decisions and resolutions between the period of the two congresses and activities of the party over the past five years.
It will also look at the implementation of the party's election manifesto.
"The report will have various chapters, it will also include the report on the implementation of the resolutions of the previous sixth congress."
The congress will be held under the theme "SWAPO party United and Marching towards socio-economic development for all Namibians."
Fifteen sister parties are expected to deliver messages of solidarity at the congress to be held at Safari Hotel in the capital.
Among the sister parties to attend is the ANC of South Africa and FRELIMO party of Mozambique amongst others.
