Shimooshili & Kauta race heats Up

The race for the presidency of the Namibian Football Association (NFA) between Robert Shimooshili and Patrick Kauta is expected to be highly competitive and closely contested at the Association's Elective Congress on Friday.

Both Shimooshili and Kauta have shared their visions for the future of the NFA if elected as President. Kauta, in particular, spoke to the media from Ghana, highlighting the importance of his campaign.

It's all system go for Swapo's 7th Elective Congress

It's all systems go for the much anticipated 7th Swapo Party Elective Congress. 

The party's Secretary for Information and Mobilisation Hilma Nikanor said they are ready and nothing can hamper the congress moving forward.

Nikanor says all logistics are in place and delegates from all 14 regions are expected to arrive on Thursday to begin the process of registration and accreditation.

"The party is very much ready the preparations have been ongoing we are at a stage where we can say, come tomorrow, a very successful SWAPO party congress will take place." 

Presidency warns against impersonating President Geingob

The Presidency has described as a grave concern, incidences of individuals fraudulently claiming to be President Hage Geingob and contacting SWAPO Party delegates to the 7th Congress and purportedly asking them to vote for certain candidates.

In a media statement, the presidency urged those individuals to desist from impersonating the President in order to influence the Congress delegates.

According to the statement, President Geingob has not contacted any delegate to influence them in favor of any candidate contesting for the Vice-President position.

Hardap Swapo delegates express mixed views over those vying for top positions

Some Swapo delegates in the Hardap Region have expressed mixed views over the internal campaign for those vying for top positions ahead of the party's Congress.

Swapo Party members across the country descended on the Persiane Hall at Mariental for the last session, where candidates gunning for the top position engaged delegates.
